Reviving a Landmark: Duboce Balustrade Restoration
EJL Atelier successfully designed and secured approvals for the replacement of a front entry railing on a historically listed Victorian home near Alamo Square. Working in close coordination with the San Francisco Planning Department and the homeowner, the firm introduced custom square Victorian newel posts that respect and preserve the home’s historic character. The project received review and approval under the Mills Act, reinforcing both its preservation value and regulatory compliance.
