THE POCKET GARDEN
Originally built as a den in a 1993 HomeSafe residence, The Pocket Garden transforms an underutilized space into a fully permitted Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit designed for multigenerational living. Thoughtful space planning and custom millwork maximize every square foot, creating a flexible suite that serves as a comfortable home for family members while maintaining a strong connection to the main residence.
Inspired by the lush botanical tile mural that anchors the kitchenette, the design embraces nature through layered textures, warm wood tones, and abundant greenery. A custom Murphy bed allows the living area to effortlessly transition from lounge to bedroom, ensuring the compact footprint remains open and adaptable throughout the day.
In the bathroom, bold patterned tile wraps continuously across the floor and shower walls, visually expanding the room while creating a playful, cohesive backdrop. Soft botanical wallpaper and rich green cabinetry continue the garden-inspired palette, demonstrating how carefully selected materials can make a modest space feel immersive, welcoming, and unexpectedly spacious.
The Pocket Garden demonstrates how thoughtful design can unlock hidden potential within existing homes—creating beautiful, flexible spaces that support changing family needs without expanding the home's footprint.
