Oakland Hills, California | Residential Renovation

Nestled in the Oakland Hills, this 1946 home presented an opportunity to transform an underutilized storage space into a thoughtfully designed primary bathroom. The homeowners envisioned a beautiful, comfortable retreat that would reflect their personal style while allowing them to age in place.

The design draws inspiration from the home's traditional character, blending classic architectural details with natural materials and modern functionality. Rich green marble, warm wood accents, delicate botanical patterns, and custom millwork create a layered, timeless interior that feels both elegant and inviting.

Beyond aesthetics, the renovation prioritizes accessibility, comfort, and ease of movement. By reimagining the existing floor plan and incorporating aging-in-place principles, the design creates a space that can adapt to the homeowners' needs over time without compromising its character.

The Heirloom Retreat is a celebration of thoughtful design, where beauty, functionality, and longevity come together to create a space the homeowners can enjoy for years to come.
